    Coaching

Executive AI Coaching is one-on-one coaching from Ahead of the Wave where you learn AI by using it on your own work.

Every week or two you meet your coach online and work on whatever is on your plate right now, like a talk you’re preparing, a client pitch or the inbox that eats your mornings. What we cover depends on what you’re working on, and the aim is that after a few months you have your own AI that knows how you work, and you don’t need us anymore.

    Who it’s for

If you’re a senior executive, you can probably tell AI could take real work off your plate.

What’s usually missing is the time to work it out, and someone to do it with you on your own tasks, at your pace.

Most of our clients are senior executives. The rest are senior professionals, some of whom take it alongside an AI course like Leaders of AI.

    A session

Sessions are 90 minutes, online, in English or German, ideally weekly.

You join a Google Meet call and share your screen, so your coach sees what you see. Nothing else is shared: no access to your computer, accounts or files. Your coach tells you what to try and why, and you do it, mostly by talking to the AI rather than typing. You build the thing together, run it on your real material, see where it breaks and fix it. Then you leave with one or two small things to practise.

Our coaches are mostly young AI natives, people who learned their trade with AI from the start and use it every day. Your coach explains why each step works, so later you can figure out new problems on your own. If it starts to feel like too much, we slow down and stick with what already works for you. When we connect AI to your email or files, it starts read-only, and nothing goes further without your OK. And since AI tools change every few weeks, your coach keeps up with them so you only hear about what’s useful to you.

    Between sessions

Questions don’t have to wait a week.

Message your coach on WhatsApp, and if something’s blocking you, we’ll find ten minutes for a call.

Every client gets a personal app. After each session it shows what we did, what to practise next and prompts ready to copy. It also holds short explainers on the questions you raised, as a video, a podcast or a PDF if you’d rather read. Each one picks up where the session left off and is written around your situation and the tools you use. Some people listen to them in the car. Clients who use it like having everything in one place. If you’d rather not have another app, we just leave it out.

    Where it goes

Most people pass through the same stages at very different speeds.

    1. First you get comfortable: the right tools, set up safely, and a sense of what AI does well. For some that starts with basics like browser tabs and email folders.

    2. Then comes the most important part, and the main thing you walk away with: your own context layer, also called an AI operating system.

AI tools already remember the basics, like your name and where you work. A context layer goes much deeper: your clients and projects, your methods, your workflows and how your work actually gets done. The result is an AI that starts every conversation already knowing your work, with skills that do your recurring tasks the way you would, on a single command. Its answers fit your clients and methods, and its drafts sound like you. The files are yours, and they come with you if you switch tools.

    3. After that, some of those skills start running by themselves on a schedule. Eventually you might even build your own tools and pick up new things without us.

    Client stories

One of our clients had spent 25 years filing important emails into folders by hand, because Outlook search never found them. He works two jobs across three email accounts on a laptop his IT department has locked down. So we started where his day was going: his inbox. Four months in, he set up his own morning assistant. Every day at 7:30 it goes through his inboxes and shows him what needs him first, so his day starts with a short list instead of three full inboxes.

Another client was already a heavy user. He used AI every day and had built his own assistants, but they were spread across separate chats and tools, and each new task started from scratch. We brought it all together into his context layer: one place that knows his work and holds his assistants, so every task now starts from everything he’s already built.

Someone else we work with used ChatGPT daily by voice but called his own prompts messy, and he came to us mainly to write better ones. He’s not a developer and never expected to build software himself. Then he turned an Excel sheet from a personal project into a web app, now online behind a login, and later built a second app for sorting his tax receipts in about half an hour. Now he’s thinking about a future as an AI solopreneur.

If you’ve done an AI course

A course gives everyone the same syllabus and the same practice cases. Coaching starts from your own work, so you don’t need a course first.

Doing both works well too: one client did a big AI course and coaching at the same time, and the course gave him the overview while the coaching turned it into tools he uses. But if you can only pick one, we’d pick coaching, because everything you build is already part of your work.

    Price and schedule

Four sessions a month, one a week
    €1,250
    Two sessions a month
    €750

You pay monthly and can stop whenever you want. Most people stay three to six months.

Both are starting points. We fit the times around your calendar, early mornings and evenings included, and the pace around where you’re starting and how fast you want to go. If neither option suits you, tell us what would and we’ll work it out.

    Getting started

Every coaching starts with a free intro call.

We get to know you and your work, and you’ll hang up with at least one new thing you learned that you’ll actually find useful, even if we never work together.
